Alejandro Garnacho got inked once again as a new tattoo can be seen on his neck during the latest Chelsea games. Garancho have had a slow start at Stamford Bridge since moving from Manchester United in the last transfer window. He had a fallout with manager Ruben Amorim during the Europa League final last season and was put in Amorim's 'bomb squad' throughout the summer.
Garnacho's slow start to life at Chelsea
Since completing his move from United to Chelsea in August, Garnacho has appeared in just four matches across all competitions, starting in only two of them. While he is yet to record a goal or an assist, it was from his cross that Benfica's Richard Rios scored the own goal that handed the Blues their first win in the Champions League this season.

Meaning of Garnacho's new tattoo revealed
Lately, fans have noticed a new tattoo that Garnacho has been showing off on his neck. The words that are inked just below his Adam's apple read: "Nunca es suerte, siempre es Dios." It translates to: "It's never luck, it's always God."
Garnacho's other tattoos
The neck tattoo is one of many Garnacho has, with the most prominent one being a tribute to the hit TV show 'Prison Break'. He regularly shows off his body art on social media.

Chelsea host Liverpool next
After a morale-boosting win over Benfica on Tuesday, Enzo Maresca's side will now shift their focus to the Premier League again as they host reigning English champions Liverpool on Saturday.
Aston Villa kicked off their Premier League season with a draw at home against Newcastle United.
Villa looked in trouble at half-time as they hadn’t had a single shot, whereas Newcastle had eight shots that were valued at 1.1 xG.
However, the second half was a better performance, and post-match Unai Emery praised his team’s efforts: “We didn’t concede a lot in the second half and created chances, but the red card completely changed the match. We have to feel happy and proud of our work. This is the level we are playing against, which is the highest in the Premier League and Europa League. Today was a very good test, and, in the end, it was a good result.”
In the second half, although Villa had less possession, they did more with it as they registered three shots on target. Newcastle again had eight shots, but they were of significantly lower quality as they only valued 0.33 xG.
With game one down and their attention back on the transfer market, Villa have agreed to move on a player who was excluded from yesterday’s squad due to ongoing transfer negotiations.
Bailey allowed to travel for medical ahead of Aston Villa exit
Leon Bailey has been granted permission to travel to Rome for a medical ahead of his loan move to Roma. The winger was not in Villa’s match-day one squad due to the negotiations, with looking to move Bailey on all summer since “Emery has not been happy with his progress since he signed his new deal in 2024” and has wanted him gone.
Sports Witness have cited reports that Aston Villa’s Director of Football, Monchi, has now agreed a deal with Roma for Bailey to join on loan with an option to buy. There was no indication as to how much of Bailey’s £6.24 million-a-year contract will be covered by Roma.
A deal is well and truly on the cards, pending a medical, between Roma and Aston Villa, with Bailey set to travel on Monday.
Where things went wrong for Bailey at Villa
When Bailey arrived at Villa, he was seen as a player with a lot of promise as he was coming off the back of a 25-goal involvement season at Bayer Leverkusen.
Midway through his stellar 23/24 season, Bailey was awarded a new contract that kept him at Villa until 2027, with the club having the option to extend by another year. During that season Bailey registered 27 goal involvements across all competitions, which made it for most prolific season in his career.
However, his form took a sharp turn downwards in the 2024/25 season when he only managed six goal involvements in all competitions. This has led to Emery being unhappy with his progress and wanting to move him on.
While it looks like the loan will only have an option to buy, and there is always the possibility that Bailey returns to Birmingham next summer, it might be best for all involved if this move is made permanent and Bailey gets a chance to rediscover his best form in a new environment.
Wolves have been offered the chance to sign a “fantastic” defender during the summer transfer window, according to a fresh claim from journalist Tom Collomosse.
Wolves pushing for Premier League defender and winger
The start of the 2025/26 Premier League season is now only a week away, with Vitor Pereira’s side opening their account at home to title challengers Manchester City on August 16th.
Some are tipping Wolves to be among the relegation candidates this season, and having lost star player Matheus Cunha to Manchester United earlier in the summer, it is vital that more new faces arrive before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
One report has claimed that Wolves are pushing hard to complete the signing of Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi, pipping Newcastle United to his signature in the process. An ACL injury picked up by Levi Colwill could now change the situation, however, should the Blues feel there is more of a need to keep hold of the Frenchman.
Meanwhile, added quality is required in wide attacking areas, and Liverpool youngster Ben Doak has been linked with a move to Wolves. The Reds value him at around £20m, with a host of clubs keen on him.
Wolves offered chance to sign £15m defender
According to a new update from The Daily Mail‘s Collomosse, Coventry City have offered £15m-rated defender Milan van Ewijk to Wolves this summer.
That said, a move to Molineux doesn’t appear to be likely as things stand, with the Premier League side having “other players above him in the list” of potential summer signings.
Milan Van Ewijk
If the situation changes and Wolves suddenly see Van Ewijk as a leading contender this summer, he could be an excellent addition for Pereira.
The Dutchman has arguably been among the leading right-backs in the Championship for a number of years now, making 47 league appearances for Coventry last season, eventually losing to Sunderland in the playoffs.
Van Ewijk can provide quality at both ends of the pitch, registering nine league assists over the past two seasons and averaging 2.6 clearances per game in 2024/25, while fan and pundit Chris Deez has spoken positively about him.
“He’s a fantastic player and by and large, his time with us has been largely positive. He had a great first season, before a difficult start to the second season under Mark Robins, but then picked up towards the end. He obviously made that mistake which pretty much cost us the play-offs, but I don’t think anybody really holds that against him because he has been a great player for us.”
With Nelson Semedo departing Wolves at the end of last season, the need for a new right-back is clear for Wolves, and Van Ewijk’s experience of English football makes him an astute option. That said, it looks as though they will look elsewhere to strengthen in that area of the pitch.

Manchester United could now be set to complete their second signing of the summer transfer window before their pre-season tour of the United States of America, as a breakthrough in talks with a £60 million-plus star is expected, according to a recent report.
Andre Onana is set to miss Man Utd's pre-season tour
The Red Devils have just completed their first week of pre-season training under Ruben Amorim, with another week of hard work set to get underway before they play their first pre-season game, which is against Leeds United in Sweden next Saturday.

After the match against their arch-rivals, United will jet off to the USA, as they will play a three-game tournament in the Premier League summer series. This is a chance for Amorim to see how his team is looking ahead of the new campaign, but goalkeeper Andre Onana will not be part of the experience, as the Cameroon international has picked up a hamstring injury that is likely to see him miss several weeks.
Onana’s injury means Altay Bayindir will likely become Amorim’s first choice goalkeeper in the USA, but The Telegraph have reported that United could now be forced to enter the market to find a new goalkeeper, and reports from Brazil have stated that United are ready to submit a bid to sign John Victor from Botafogo, as he could be available for just £6 million.
Man Utd could sign £60m+ star before pre-season tour
As the Red Devils weigh up their options to replace Onana, according to reliable reporter Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Man United are expected to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford over the coming days ahead of their USA tour.
Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo celebrates after the match
The report states that there is an expectation that a breakthrough in talks will happen in the coming days, and therefore, a deal will be wrapped up this week in time for the pre-season tour.
The Red Devils have been chasing the Brentford attacker for well over a month now and have seen two bids already rejected by the Premier League side. Mbeumo has prioritised a move to Old Trafford despite teams who are playing in the Champions League this season making significant efforts to sign him. Despite the turned-down bids, with the latest being in excess of £60 million plus, United have remained in talks with Brentford over a deal for Mbeumo, and the next offer could be the one that gets the deal over the line.

Mbeumo’s potential arrival at Man United will be seen as a major coup for the Premier League side, especially given he will join Matheus Cunha, another player who really excelled last season. The 25-year-old scored 20 goals in 38 Premier League games last season, and Amorim obviously believes his arrival, alongside Cunha, can help transform United’s attack and get them back to the top end of the table.
Sunderland are making some exciting moves in their hunt to consolidate in the top-flight and are reportedly now circling for a talented Real Madrid youngster, according to a report.
Sunderland close in on Marcin Bulka and Habib Diarra
The Black Cats are wasting no time in building a side capable of staying in the Premier League, and it is fair to say that Regis Le Bris is making some serious progress on the transfer front.
Yesterday, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Sunderland are set to sign Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra for a package of £30 million plus add-ons, adding a layer of steel to their engine room ahead of the new campaign.
Senegal'sHabibDiarracelebrates scoring their second goal with with teammates
On the same token, the Black Cats are on the brink of adding OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka after an agreement was found between both clubs regarding the Poland international.
Plenty of due diligence has been carried out on Wearside ahead of what promises to be a special campaign for everyone connected to the club. Yverdon Sport midfielder Moussa Baradji is another reported target amid claims he could be available for £2.5 million.
Off the field, Sunderland Echo journalist Phil Smith has confirmed Florent Ghisolfi will become Sunderland’s director of football, even if there is a wait due to administrative procedures needing to be fulfilled before he can enter the building.

He explained: “It’s thought that Sunderland and Ghisolfi are finalising the deal and as when recruiting a player from abroad, there are administrative processes to go through.
All being well, it will be in place in time for Ghisolfi to begin work as the players return to the Academy of Light in early July and the preparations for the new season begin in earnest.”
Back to on-field matters, Sunderland are reportedly set to step up their pursuit of a talented star who plies his trade at Real Madrid.
Sunderland willing to make offer for Gonzalo Garcia
According to reports in Spain, Sunderland are willing to offer a loan proposal for Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia with a mandatory purchase option that could top £17 million.
Real Oviedo, AS Roma and Leeds United are also keen on the 21-year-old forward, who has emerged as a breakout star at the Club World Cup, being likened to Raul by Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso.

However, Real Madrid could look to negotiate a buyback clause of £25.6 million for the former Spain Under-19 international.
Enjoying a brilliant campaign combining his exploits at first-team level and with the La Liga giants’ second string, Garcia registered 28 goals and six assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.
Sunderland may need to push their negotiation powers to the max to force this one over the line, but if you don’t ask, you don’t get, which will be a mantra they will hope can prove decisive should negotiations ramp up.
They might not have officially announced any signings yet, but Arsenal have finally started making moves this summer.
For example, last week reports claimed that Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga are set to sign for the club.
On top of that, reports from earlier this week claimed that Martin Zubimendi was in London to finally complete his long-awaited move from Real Sociedad.
Finally, there has been an abundance of stories linking Arsenal to the incredible Eberechi Eze in recent days.
However, if recent reports are to be believed, the club could now be nearing an agreement to sign another attacking gem who would be an even more exciting addition to the team than the Englishman.
Arsenal close to signing goalscoring monster
With Arsenal creating the best defence in the Premier League for the second campaign running this season and still finishing second, it’s hardly a surprise to see them linked with an exhaustive list of incredible attacking talents in recent weeks.
The likes of Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon, Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Crystal Palace’s Eze have all been touted for moves to the Emirates, and while all feel like realistic targets, it’s the latter who has been the subject of more reports in recent days.
The England international has a release clause worth around £68m in his current contract, and according to Fabrizio Romano, he was involved in talks with the Gunners over the weekend.
Transfer Focus
Mega money deals, controversial moves and big-name flops. This is the home of transfer news and opinion across Football FanCast.
The Eagles’ gem would undoubtedly be a seriously exciting addition to Arteta’s squad, but it now looks like the club might be closing in on another attacker and someone who’d be that bit more exciting a signing: Benjamin Sesko.
At least that’s according to a recent report from Caught Offside, which claims Arsenal have maintained their intense interest in the Slovenian international and that they are now ‘edging closer to an agreement with RB Leipzig’ for his transfer.
The report goes on to reveal that even though the German outfit want a fee in excess of €80m for the striker, which is about £69m, the two sides may be ‘nearing a compromise’ worth around €75m, which converts to about £64m.
Despite that news, the Gunners are still intent on signing Viktor Gyokeres too, with advanced talks also in place for the Swede.
Why Sesko would be a more exciting signing than Eze
Now, while Arsenal should try to sign both players this summer, there are two intertwined reasons why we think Sesko would have a greater impact than Eze, and therefore be the more exciting addition: his goal-scoring instincts and where he plays.
RB Leipzig's BenjaminSeskocelebrates their second goal scored by Lukas Klostermann
We say this because the Gunners’ biggest problem last season was not creating chances, but finishing them.
According to Understat, the Premier League runners-up produced an expected goals figure of 73.57, but scored just 69 goals.
Now, while one way to address this problem is to create more goal-scoring opportunities, bringing in a more clinical number nine seems far more straightforward than changing how the team approaches games, which is where the Leipzig star comes into play.
For example, in 33 league appearances this season, he scored 13 goals from an expected goals figure of 10.84, whereas Kai Havertz scored nine from a figure of 11.83, and Gabriel Jesus managed three from a figure of 3.38.
In short, the “monumental” Slovenian poacher, as dubbed by U23 scout Antonio Mango, is far more effective in front of goal than the Gunners’ current crop of forwards, and even more clinical than Eze, as he scored his eight league goals from an expected goals figure of 1.88.
Finally, if we simply compare the Leipzig star’s overall output from this season to the Palace star’s, we once again see that he’s a better source of goals and assists, which is what the North Londoners need next year.

For example, the former RB Salzburg monster scored 21 goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances, totalling 3258 minutes, which comes out to a goal involvement every 1.66 games, or every 120.66 minutes.
In contrast, the Greenwich-born dynamo scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 appearances, totalling 3303 minutes, which comes out to an average of a goal or assist every 1.72 games, or every 132.12 minutes.
Ultimately, Sesko is far more clinical than Arsenal’s current centre-forward options and a better source of goal involvements than Eze, and therefore, would be the more exciting signing this summer.
A big upgrade on Eze: Arsenal discussing move to sign £80m "nightmare"
The international attacker would be brilliant for Arsenal.
Celtic are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign FC Nordsjælland forward Benjamin Nygren, whose contract expires at the end of this year, on a permanent deal this summer.
The right-sided attacker could become the second official signing for the Hoops in the off-season, after the club confirmed Kieran Tierney’s arrival on a free transfer from Arsenal earlier this week.
Celtic's transfer priorities this summer
Following the much-needed signing of Tierney to fill their gaping hole at left-back, with Greg Taylor out of contract this summer, Celtic appear to have turned their attention to the wide areas.
Nygren is ‘expected’ to sign for the Scottish giants to bolster their options on the right flank, but they are also looking for a new forward on the left side of the pitch.
It was recently claimed that the Hoops are in talks with left-winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha’s representatives over a move from Royal Antwerp, and the Scottish Premiership champions are in negotiations with Sarpsborg over a move for Norwegian flanker Sondre Orjasaeter.
This makes it clear that Celtic are after a right-footed left-winger – Balikwisha or Orjasaeter – to go along with the signing of Nygren, who is a left-footed right-winger.
New wingers are not the only signings on the agenda for Brendan Rodgers this summer, though, as the Northern Irish head coach is also looking to improve the depth of his midfield.
Celtic believe they can land bargain deal for Premier League star
According to West Ham United-focused outlet Claret & Hugh, Celtic are interested in a deal to sign Scotland international Andy Irving, who is for sale, in the summer transfer window.
The report claims that the Hammers are open to offers for the 25-year-old central midfielder, as ‘almost everyone’ is for sale at the Premier League side.
It reveals that the Hoops believe that they can land the left-footed maestro for a ‘bargain’ fee, although no exact price tag is mentioned, because he was rarely used by Graham Potter in the 2024/25 campaign, playing just ten times in the top-flight.

Irving showcased his quality in possession, as shown in the table above, by ranking highly among his positional peers in a host of key passing and possession-based metrics in the limited minutes that he had on the pitch.
Claret & Hugh adds that the Scottish midfielder is ‘open’ to a move away from the Premier League club in order to go in search of regular first-team football, which is why a transfer to Parkhead could be one that ‘suits all parties’.
Irving, who made his Scotland debut earlier this month against Liechtenstein, appears to have the on-ball qualities to perfectly suit playing in a Celtic team that averaged 75.1% possession per game in the Premiership in the 2024/25 season.
His desire to constantly get on the ball and make passes, short and long, whilst being efficient in doing so, could make him a good fit for Rodgers’ dominant Hoops midfielder, which is why this is a deal that could make a lot of sense for both clubs and the player.
More exciting than Tierney: Celtic expected to complete "no-brainer" deal
Celtic are expected to seal the signing of a star who would be more exciting than Kieran Tierney.
Looking to make an instant statement ahead of their return to the Premier League, Leeds United are now reportedly set to make their first move to sign one of their summer targets in the coming days.
49ers set to back Leeds this summer
Perhaps desperate to avoid following in the footsteps of Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton next season, the 49ers are reportedly ready to back Leeds in pursuit of reinforcements this summer. And as such, the rumours have already been coming thick and fast. Among the names already mentioned includes Everton’s Beto and Jamie Vardy, who is set to leave Leicester at the end of the campaign.
If those reports are anything to go by, then it seems as though signing a fresh goalscorer will be among Leeds’ priorities in the coming months alongside finally replacing Ilian Meslier.
In charge as those reinforcements potentially arrive looks set to remain Daniel Farke too, despite earlier reports claiming that he could be shown the door with or without automatic promotion.
Amid all of the title celebrations, club chairman Paraag Marathe confirmed his backing for Farke, telling reporters: “I’m very excited to run it back with Daniel and collaborate with him.
Leeds looking to sign 26 y/o Champions League defender as agent holds talks
He’s a wanted man…
ByTom Cunningham May 13, 2025
“I’m under no illusions that it is going to be easy. The past two seasons the three promoted teams came straight back down but we have something they don’t have, we have Daniel Farke first of all. I have ended the speculation. He is my man.”
It will be an important season on a personal note for Farke, who is set to get his chance at Premier League redemption. This time around could finally be different too. Unlike his time at Norwich City, the German looks set to have a squad at his disposal ready to avoid relegation and that could start with the arrival of one particular star.
Leeds set to make move for Kilicsoy in coming days
According to Fotospor, the 49ers and Leeds are now set to make their opening move to sign Semih Kilicsoy in the coming days. Scheduled to fly in to submit an opening offer to sign the Besiktas star, Leeds could be about to commence their summer business in ambitious fashion.
The 19-year-old forward has enjoyed an excellent couple of seasons in Turkey, and now looks ready to take the Premier League by storm as someone who’s found himself at the centre of plenty of praise.
Compared to Sergio Aguero and described as “intelligent” by analyst Ben Mattinson in 2024, Kilicosy has only impressed more and more ever since.
In the current campaign, the teenager has been involved in 10 goals in all competitions, with four goals and six assists, to follow last season’s impressive 15 goal involvements for Besiktas. Now, in the latest step in his development, a move to Elland Road potentially awaits.
Setting their sights on reinforcements with or without promotion to the Premier League, Sheffield United have now reportedly joined the race to sign a defensive reinforcement whose quality they know all about.
Sheffield United set for key play-off battle
With Burnley and Leeds United already promoted and left to battle it out for the Championship title, Sheffield United must turn towards the play-offs and Wembley success if they are to take their place in the Premier League for next season. That is, of course, easier said than done though. The play-offs are rarely routine and have the chance to throw up the kind of shocks that the Blades will be desperate to avoid.
Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder reacted to the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion recently, telling reporters: “Congratulations to Daniel (Farke) and Scott (Parker) and their two teams, for those clubs to have the ability to reach 100 points shows you what the division is like, and we’ve finished up the third best team in the division.
Sheffield United eyeing Wilfred Ndidi as £9m relegation release fee emerges
He has a lot of admirers…
ByTom Cunningham Apr 30, 2025
“The season went to the 44th game and I thought we had a right go, created some chance, but the goals have killed us, it was two poor goals, and the penalty hands the initiative back to them, despite us always carrying a threat.
“We’ve had to learn on the job and the season doesn’t end here, we’d have had to get 95+ points, so it is an insane season. The players will learn from this because we’ve fallen short.”
After officially finishing third, Wilder’s side will now square off against sixth place in the Championship play-offs, which will be Coventry City if nothing changes on the final day this weekend. With Millwall, Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough all forming the chasing pack, however, Sheffield United will only know their fate at the end of this weekend’s fixtures.
Sheffield United join Ciaron Brown race
Away from the action, the Blades have seemingly commenced their summer plans even without knowing their fate. According to Graeme Bailey for EFL Analysis, Sheffield United are now racing to sign Ciaron Brown from Oxford United this summer but face competition from both Norwich City and Middlesbrough for his signature.
Those at Bramall Lane will be hoping that their place as promotion hopefuls this season and hopefully a top flight club in the coming weeks will tempt the versatile defender.
Ciaron Brown for Northern Ireland.
Brown is a versatile centre-back that Sheffield United know all about too, having witnessed him pocket the talented Ben Brereton Diaz in Oxford’s stunning 1-0 victory over Wilder’s side last month.
As per Fotmob, Brereton Diaz was hooked after 59 minutes, having created just one chance and taken just two touches in the Oxford box. Brown, meanwhile, enjoyed an excellent game and ended the afternoon without being dribbled past once and with 15 clearances to his name as his side kept an impressive clean sheet.
Praised for his “fantastic attitude” by former Oxford boss Liam Manning last season, Brown may now have done enough to earn a big move this summer.
