كشفت شبكة “ليفربول إيكو” أن ملاك النادي قد يتخذون قرارًا استثنائيًا بشأن مستقبل جناح وهداف الفريق الأول لكرة القدم، محمد صلاح، مع اقتراب عقده على الانتهاء.

وينتهي عقد محمد صلاح داخل قلعة “أنفيلد” في 30 يونيو 2025، وبالتالي، في يناير المقبل سيكون حر التفاوض مع أي نادٍ للرحيل عن ليفربول.

O técnico Eduardo Barroca não escondeu que o Botafogo terá um forte desafio para se reerguer no Campeonato Brasileiro. Em entrevista coletiva após a derrota por 3 a 1 para o Atlético-GO, nesta quarta-feira, o comandante alvinegro exigiu trabalho redobrado da equipe no dia a dia.

Ao avaliar o desempenho do Alvinegro na derrota por 3 a 1 para o Dragão, Barroca também reconheceu.

– Temos de ter ciência e frontalidade para saber que nosso adversário desportivamente foi montado de maneira mais coerente e equilibrada que a gente desde o início de temporada. Além disso, vive um momento bom, sei porque estive lá há pouco tempo – destacou.

O treinador também assegurou que evitará apontar culpados pelo mau desempenho.

O Botafogo volta a campo neste domingo, às 20h30, para o confronto com o Fluminense, em São Januário.

Sri Lanka’s chances of saving the Christchurch Test was dealt a major blow after Angelo Mathews pulled up lame late in the second session on day four, with apparent hamstring trouble.Although not out, he did not take the field after tea, and will undergo scans at some point in the day before it is decided whether he can bat again in the match. At first glance, however, the injury appeared fairly serious.Mathews was batting on 14 off 38 balls when he drove Trent Boult through mid-off and called partner Dinesh Chandimal through for two runs. Halfway through jogging the second run however, Mathews pulled up and began to hobble on his right leg, then clutched the back of his left thigh as soon as he had crossed the popping crease.He was treated on the field and continued to bat, but was seemingly unable to put much weight on his left leg through final overs of the second session. Newcastle United have reportedly been informed that they will need to smash a club's transfer record to complete the signing of their "wonderful" player.

The Magpies have been hit hard in so many different areas of the pitch because of injuries this season, with key men missing in goal, defence and attack. Perhaps the biggest blow in some respect has been the 10-month suspension handed to midfielder Sandro Tonali, however, with Newcastle's summer signing banned after being found guilty of betting breaches during his time at AC Milan.

It is a huge setback, both for the player and the club, with Tonali making such a promising start to life at St James' Park, but now not available until next season.

The Italian's absence has heightened the need for Newcastle to bring in a new central midfielder during the January transfer window, with Manchester City and England man Kalvin Phillips seemingly emerging as a clear front-runner. He is surely desperate to move away in January, in order to play more, and he could be an ideal fit for Eddie Howe in the middle of the park.

Newcastle want Matt O'Riley

According to a new update from TEAMtalk however, Newcastle are interested in signing Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley. The player could be tempted by a big move to England, but the Magpies will have to break the Hoops' record sale of £25m to get a deal done.

"Newcastle United have scouted the 23-year-old on multiple occasions, including whilst he was playing senior international football for his country, Denmark. The Magpies are not alone in their admiration with Championship leaders Leicester City and Premier League mainstays West Ham United also monitoring O’Riley. Newcastle have been present at Celtic Park and are among a host of clubs around Europe who could move in the upcoming window for the talented midfielder."

O'Riley is an extremely highly-rated player at Celtic, with the 23-year-old such an influential player in central midfield, combining creativity with hard work. The Englishman is enjoying a fantastic season for the Scottish Premiership giants, scoring nine goals and chipping in with five assists in the league in 2023/24 to date.

Celtic likely won't want to lose him, with manager Brendan Rodgers clearly a big admirer of his midfielder, saying of him back in August: "I really like him, his build-up play is good, he takes the ball, and he needs to work on his pressing and intensity but he is a wonderful footballer and he is a good guy as well."

While the step up to the Premier League from the Scottish Premiership is great, O'Riley could certainly be an interesting option for Newcastle, should Howe believe he can get the best out of him.

He is still young enough to improve a lot more as a player, but the ingredients are already there as he is showing week in, week out, and he is one of the first names on the team sheet for Scotland's biggest club.

Glasgow Rangers were given an unexpected respite from domestic proceedings in midweek as their Premiership clash against Ross County was postponed due to severe weather in the north of Scotland preventing any away supporters from attending.

While the match would have given Philippe Clement an opportunity to see his side claim another three points, the break will perhaps work in his favour ahead of a clash against Celtic tomorrow.

The second Old Firm tie of the season takes place at Celtic Park and, given their recent form, Rangers are the side who should be the more confident of the two teams heading into the match.

Having defeated Motherwell on Christmas Eve, injuries mean Clement doesn’t have much room for rotation and we at Football FanCast predict that the Belgian will make just one change ahead of the eagerly anticipated second Old Firm game of the season.

1 GK – Jack Butland

The goalkeeper has been one of the best transfers of the season and will be making his second appearance against Celtic tomorrow.

Butland has kept a clean sheet in 50% of his matches during his spell in Scotland so far and his commanding presence between the posts has meant that the Light Blues currently have the best defensive record in the Premiership, conceding just eight goals in 18 matches.

2 RB – James Tavernier

The captain is a veteran of this fixture – playing against Celtic 33 times since 2016 – yet the defender has only been on the winning side on nine occasions, and he will be hoping this tally is nudged into double figures tomorrow.

Having scored 15 goals and registered six assists so far this season, Tavernier will be one of the key attacking outlets for the club and Clement will be telling him to push forward as much as possible.

3 CB – Connor Goldson

Connor Goldson will retain his place at the heart of the defence against Celtic, and he has been excellent in the league this term.

Goldson has enjoyed some wonderful moments against the Hoops in the past, most notably scoring twice against them in October 2020 and a goal tomorrow would be a big bonus.

4 CB – Leon Balogun

The Nigerian defender was supposed to act as cover after he rejoined the Gers during the summer transfer window, yet he has gone on to play a key part under Clement recently.

Since the Belgian took over in October, Balogun has played nine times and was in the starting XI that saw the Ibrox side secure their first League Cup trophy since 2011 earlier this month.

5 LB – Borna Barisic

The only change from Clement will be to replace Ridvan Yilmaz with Barisic. The Croatian – who joined the Gers for £2m back in 2018 – missed the tie against Motherwell, but he should be back ready to play Celtic.

Hailed as “fantastic” by journalist Josh Bunting during the title-winning 2020/21 campaign, Barisic will be aiming to secure just his eighth win against the Parkhead outfit across 17 matches.

6 CM – Dujon Sterling

Due to injuries to midfielders Ryan Jack, Nico Raskin, Jose Cifuentes and John Lundstram, Clement has been short of players in the heart of the midfield.

Sterling played at left back during the first Old Firm clash back in September and, despite it being an uncomfortable position, he performed admirably.

The former Chelsea gem has been thrust into the centre of midfield recently and looks like a natural in the role, and he will be deployed in this position tomorrow.

7 CM – Kieran Dowell

Again, due to injuries, Clement has had to reshuffle his pack and this meant Sterling started alongside Dowell against Motherwell a few days ago.

The former Norwich City player didn’t take long to make his mark by scoring after just a few minutes while also succeeding with 100% of his dribble attempts and chipping in defensively by making three interceptions, two tackles and winning four of his seven total duels.

He will start alongside Sterling as the Gers visit the east end of Glasgow and another performance similar to the one against the Steelmen could be crucial.

8 RW – Ross McCausland

Not many supporters expected McCausland to make as big an impact as he has done when the first Old Firm clash of the season took place in September, but fast-forward four months, and he is one of the key members of Clement’s squad.

He has played 16 times so far during 2022/23, scoring once while winning his first senior medal in the recent League Cup final against the Dons.

9 AM – Todd Cantwell

The Englishman scored against Celtic during the final derby match of the 2022/23 season, and it capped off a wonderful first few months in Glasgow.

This season hasn’t quite been as eye-catching, especially in terms of goals and assists, managing just six goal contributions in total.

Against Celtic, however, Clement will deploy him just behind the striker in his preferred number ten role, and he could cause chaos against the opposition defence if he is in the mood.

10 LW – Abdallah Sima

The on-loan winger has been one of the biggest revelations of the season so far and has been a vital cog in the team over the previous few months.

Across 31 matches during 2023/24, Sima has scored 14 times along with grabbing two assists, and his pace and direct approach will be vital against Brendan Rodgers' if the Gers hope to secure three points.

Precisando vencer para ter mais tranquilidade na temporada, o São Paulo começou em cima da equipe do Ceará. Aos três minutos,Reinaldo cruzou na entrada da área, e Luciano ficou com a sobra. O atacante bateu rasteiro, forte, mas Richard fez boa defesa. Um minuto depois, Daniel Alves bateu e novamente o goleiro jogou para escanteio.

A pressão continuou. Com seis minutos,Luan recebeu na entrada da área e deu um toquinho para Igor Gomes, que dominou e bateu firme de direita. Richard fechou bem o ângulo e fez a defesa. No minuto seguinte, mais uma boa defesa do goleiro do Vozão. Luciano ajeitou para Pablo, que bateu forte para Richard espalmar.

TCHÊ TCHÊ TEM GOL ANULADO PELO VAR
O jogo continuou na mesma toada, com o São Paulo tentando a qualquer custo abrir o placar e não correndo riscos com o ataque do Ceará. Aos 24 minutos, Juanfran cruzou e Pablo cabeceou para fora. O camisa nove tentou novamente aos 26. Ele recebeu após corte errado de Tiago e bateu cruzado, mas Richard espalmou para escanteio.

Um minuto depois, foi a vez do São Paulo chegar. Juanfran cruzou e Richard socou para frente. Igor Gomes bateu, mas Fabinho tirou em cima da linha. Antes do final do primeiro tempo, aos 41, Juanfran cruzou para trás, Luciano deixou passar e Igor Gomes bateu de primeira, mas pegou mal e chutou para fora.

SEGUNDO TEMPO COMEÇA E PABLO QUASE MARCA
​Com a volta do intervalo, o São Paulo voltou no mesmo ritmo que terminou o primeiro tempo, atacando o Ceará. Com dois minutos, Reinaldo recebeu na esquerda e cruzou na segunda trave. Daniel Alves cruzou novamente, e Igor Gomes ajeitou para Luan chegar batendo. A bola desviou e foi para fora.

Aos seis minutos, Reinaldo bateu escanteio e Pablo desviou na primeira trave. A bola passou na frente do gol de Richard e foi para fora.

Quatro minutos depois, o São Paulo respondeu. Reinaldo cruzou a meia altura, mas Jonathan salvou e afastou para escanteio antes chegada do atacante Luciano, que aparecia nas costas da defesa.

FABINHO SALVA O CEARÁ DE LEVAR O GOL DO SÃO PAULO
​O tempo passava e o gol do São Paulo teimava em não sair. Se lançando ao ataque, o time dava espaços. Aos 13 minutos, Vina recebeu na entrada da área e bateu de chapa, mas a bola foi por cima do gol. Com 17,Luciano recebeu a bola por trás da zaga na entrada da área, adiantou para finalizar, mas Fabinho chegou por baixo dando um toque na bola, salvando na hora certa.

JUANFRAN DISCUTE COM AUXILIAR DO CEARÁ
Conforme o jogo ia passando, os nervos começavam a se exaltar. Aos 21 minutos, uma confusão tomou conta do campo. Após a bola sair para a lateral, o auxiliar do Ceará, Alexandre Faganello foi expulso ao retardar o começo do jogo. Juanfran empurrou o profissional e uma confusão começou.

O profissional do Vozão acabou sendo expulso, e o lateral do Tricolor recebeu o cartão amarelo, que o suspende do jogo contra o Grêmio.

JOGO ESFRIA NO MORUMBI
Com a partida empatada, os times acabaram freando o ímpeto do começo da segunda etapa, o que fez com que as chances acabassem ficando mais raras. Vizolli tentou mudar o panorama do jogo colocando Toro e Carneiro nas vagas de Igor Gomes e Pablo, respectivamente, mas não deu muito resultado.

O Tricolor voltou a assustar somente aos 37 minutos. Carneiro recebeu na entrada da área e bateu no meio do gol. Richard encaixou.

RICHARD APARECE MAIS UMA VEZ
O São Paulo sabia que apenas uma vitória poderia trazer mais tranquilidade para a equipe. Com isso, foi ao ataque nos minutos finais. Aos 44,Reinaldo ficou com a sobra da bola após cruzamento na área do Ceará e bateu forte de primeira. Richard fez a defesa em dois tempos.

VOLPI FALHA, LÉO CHU MARCA, MAS LUCIANO EMPATA NO FINAL
Parecia que o jogo ia terminar empatado, mas pegou fogo no final. Com 47 minutos, Volpi foi driblar Léo Chu, mas perdeu a bola. O atacante recuperou e bateu para o gol vazio, abrindo o placar.

No entanto, aos 51 minutos, Galeano cruzou rasteiro, a bola foi tirada errada e Luciano apareceu para bater pro fundo do gol e empatar a partida. Fim de jogo alucinante no Morumbi, mas empate ruim para os dois times.

The defending champions clawed their way to 200 for 7 at stumps, with Saurashtra’s bowlers striking every time a partnership threatened to develop into a substantial one.Vidarbha’s position was an improvement from the 139 for 6 spot they found themselves in just after tea, thanks to Akshay Wadkar (45) and Akshay Karnewar (31*) putting together the only 50-plus stand of the innings so far.When you have runs scored at 2.22 per over in day, and wickets taken once only every 13 overs, it can create the illusion that a day’s play has gone without much happening. But the illusion of status quo furthered Saurashtra after they lost the toss. They might have been happier with a couple of more wickets, but they didn’t let Vidarbha escape a tight leash. The pitch at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur is expected to aid spinners more as the match goes on, and Vidarbha will rue some of the dismissals.Jaydev Unadkat set the day up. He took only two wickets, but the second of those accounted for Wasim Jaffer and reduced Vidarbha to 60 for 3. According to a fresh claim now made by Football Insider, Brighton are open to sanctioning a permanent move for Abdallah Sima to Rangers at the end of the season, which comes after previous reports claimed Rangers were well-placed to seal a permanent move that could cost up to £15m.

"Brighton would be open to selling forward Abdallah Sima permanently to Rangers this summer, sources have told Football Insider. It is believed that the 22-year-old does not fit into the plans of the Premier League side going forward as they have plenty of top-level attacking options at their disposal.

"The Seagulls value Sima at between £10-15million but this figure could increase if he continues his excellent form – especially in the Europa League."

This is brilliant news for Rangers, who will surely want to make Sima's loan move permanent if the chance arises, given the impact he has made since arriving from Brighton during the summer transfer window.

This season, the 22-year-old has scored nine goals in just 14 Scottish Premiership starts, as well as registering two assists, and Gers captain James Tavernier has heaped praise on him, saying:

"(Abdallah Sima) has been a real attacking threat for us this season. He’s got electric pace and can finish in difficult areas. Generally with our forwards, we have to give them better service as a team. We need to get around them and give them opportunities to get on the scoresheet the same as Abdallah."
